ABOUT CAMBODIA
Cambodia, called Kingdom of Cambodia, is situated in Southeast Asia. The nation has a population of 15 million, and approximately 1.5 million live the capital city of Phnom Penh. From 1975 through 1979, the country went through a genocide under the Khmer Rouge where an estimated 1.7 million to 2 million Cambodians were killed under the Pol Pot regime. There is still much healing from the tragedies which took place under that oppressive rule.
